Structure Fire Blanchard Circle
June 17, 2007
On Fathers Day, Stallings was dispatched along with Providence and Wesley Chapel to a reported structure fire at Hartis Grove Baptist Church. Engine 20 arrived to find smoke visible. Bystanders reported the possibility of their being victims inside. Captain Kindley established command while Firefighter McLendon began searching. Captain Bosse and Firefighter Hawk entered the structure along with Firefighter Hudson and Captain Langston and other crews from Wesley Chapel and Providence to suppress the fire. Crews from Wesley Chapel and Providence performed ventilation. Crews inside found little fire but intense heat and smoke. Hemby Bridge was called for additional manpower as well as Unionville to stand by Stallings response area. Special thanks to all firefighters and EMS crews on scene as well as the church members for their cooperation and overwhelming generosity.
